CRO & A/B testing

More enquiries and sales from the traffic you already pay for.®

Evidence before opinion

Analytics, heatmaps and session recordings show where visitors stall, so we fix real problems instead of guessing.

Test, then roll out

Changes go live as A/B tests where traffic allows, so you keep what works and drop what doesn't.

Find the friction, then fix it.®

For lead generation sites and online stores, we look at every step between landing and converting: the message, the page layout, the form and the checkout.

Insight drives action.®

Who conversion rate optimisation is for

Conversion rate optimisation suits businesses that already get steady traffic from ads, search or email, but feel too few visitors buy or get in touch. If you pay for every click, improving what happens after the click makes that spend work harder.

If the site has deeper structural problems, a UX/UI design project may need to come first. If campaign traffic lands on your homepage, a dedicated landing page built around that campaign is often the quicker fix.

Start with tracking you can trust

Before testing anything, we check the numbers. In Google Analytics 4, the actions that matter, such as a form submission or a purchase, are marked as key events, and key events can be the basis for conversions used in Google Ads bidding.

We then build funnel explorations, which show the steps people take to complete a task and how many succeed or drop out at each one. If tracking is broken, fixing it is the first deliverable.

What a conversion audit covers

A conversion audit is a fixed review of the journeys that make you money, usually the homepage, key service or product pages, forms and checkout. We look at message clarity, trust signals, page speed, mobile layout and how easy the next step is to find.

You get a prioritised list of issues, each with its evidence and a suggested fix, which you can hand to your own team or ask us to build.

Heatmaps, recordings and forms

Funnels show where people leave; behaviour tools suggest why. Click maps show which elements get clicked, scroll maps show how far down a page people get, and session recordings show hesitation and dead ends.

Forms are where many leads are lost. We look at field count, labels, error messages and what happens after submit, and set up any tracking in line with your cookie consent.

How a CRO agency should run A/B tests

Each experiment starts with a hypothesis based on evidence, for example showing delivery costs earlier because recordings show shoppers leaving the basket to find them. We change one meaningful thing, agree the success measure in advance and let the test run until the result is reliable.

Not every site has the traffic to split test. In that case we make evidence-based fixes and compare performance before and after, and we're clear about what that can and can't prove.

On Framer sites we run tests with Framer's A/B testing add-on, which splits visitors evenly between versions of a page and measures each one against a goal such as a form submission or link click.

How we report

After each round you get a short report: what we tested, the result, what we learned and what happens next. We don't claim wins the data doesn't support, and a losing test still tells you something about your customers.

CRO pairs naturally with Google Ads management, because a better page makes the same budget go further, and with Shopify web design, where product and cart pages are usually first in line for testing.

What to have ready

Access to your analytics, ad accounts and website platform, your main goals, and any customer feedback, reviews or sales objections your team hears often.

If you've tried changes before, tell us what happened, even if the result was unclear, so we don't repeat old tests.

How we work

©2026 the think

01 — Discover

We check your tracking works, then study funnels, heatmaps and recordings to see where visitors leave.

02 — Define

We turn the findings into a ranked test list, weighing likely impact against the effort to build.

03 — Design

We design and build each change, then run it as an A/B test or a measured before-and-after release.

04 — Deliver

We report what happened, roll out the winners and plan the next round from what we learned.

Pricing & FAQ

Conversion rate optimisation pricing.®

Choose a one-off conversion audit or an ongoing monthly programme of testing and improvements. Either way, it's scoped to your traffic and goals and quoted as a fixed project fee or fixed monthly fee after a call.

What is conversion rate optimisation?

Conversion rate optimisation (CRO) is improving your website so more of the people who visit take the action you want, such as buying, booking or enquiring. It works on the traffic you already have.

How much does CRO cost?

It depends on whether you need a one-off audit or an ongoing programme, and how much building each test needs. We quote a fixed project or monthly fee after a call.

How long until we see results?

Fixing an obvious problem, like a broken form, can show quickly. A/B tests need enough visitors and conversions to give a reliable answer, which often means a few weeks per test.

Do we need a lot of traffic for CRO?

A/B testing needs reasonable traffic to reach a reliable result. With lower traffic, we focus on audits, user testing and clear fixes measured before and after.

Does CRO help SEO?

Indirectly, often. Clearer pages, faster load times and content that answers real questions help visitors and search engines alike, though we measure CRO and SEO separately.

Can you implement the changes?

Yes. We design and build the changes on Framer, Shopify, WordPress and other platforms, so you don't need a separate developer.

What tools do you use?

Google Analytics 4 for key events and funnels, a heatmap and session recording tool such as Microsoft Clarity, and an A/B testing tool that suits your platform. On Framer sites we use Framer's A/B testing add-on.

Why hire a CRO agency instead of testing ourselves?

Many teams have good ideas but not the time to fix tracking, build variants and read results properly. A CRO agency brings the process, tools and design and build capacity to keep tests running.
