Fashion & beauty branding and web design agency.
Branding for fashion and beauty
Fashion and beauty are built on desire and detail. We craft brand identities and websites with the polish, point of view and pace that style-led brands need.
A point of view
Considered identity, art direction and tone of voice that give your label a look people recognise instantly.
Editorial meets ecommerce
Lookbooks, product pages and shop experiences that feel like a campaign and convert like a store.
The detail
What fashion and beauty customers look for
Fashion and beauty customers buy into a point of view before they buy a product. They follow a label for months, then arrive at the website wanting the same feeling plus practical answers: how does it fit, which shade suits me, what is it made of and how easy is it to return. Many brand sites deliver the mood and drop the detail, or the reverse, and lose the sale either way; fashion and beauty branding has to hold both.
In beauty especially, trust is personal. Customers want to see real skin, honest results and the people behind the formula or the treatment before they commit.
An identity with taste, consistency and room to move
A fashion or beauty identity has to stay recognisable across seasons while each collection or launch gets its own story. We build identity systems in two layers: a fixed core of logo, type and colour, and a flexible layer of art direction, campaign graphics and copy that can change each season.
Tone of voice matters as much as the visuals. A skincare brand that speaks like a lab and a streetwear label that speaks like a group chat are both valid, but the choice has to be deliberate and held everywhere. Our brand identity work writes those rules down so a growing team can follow them.
Photography direction gets the same rigour. We set lighting, skin retouching limits and colour checks so a shade or fabric looks the same on screen as it does in the hand, which helps avoid returns from disappointed customers and keeps product claims honest.
The pages and features that sell
Collection pages with filters that match how customers shop: by fit, occasion, skin type or concern.
Product pages with size guides, fit notes, shade finders, ingredient lists and how-to-use content.
Campaign and editorial pages that tell a collection's story and link straight to the products in it.
Reviews with customer photos, placed beside size and shade information where they help the decision.
Clear delivery, returns and exchanges information, linked from every product page.
For salons and clinics, treatment pages with prices, durations and an online booking journey.
We build online stores on Shopify and brand, campaign and salon sites in Framer. See Shopify web design for ecommerce, and our retail and ecommerce branding page if you also sell through shops.
Rules on green claims, filters and creator posts
In March 2024 the CMA secured formal commitments from ASOS, Boohoo and George at Asda on green claims. They include showing the percentage of recycled or organic fibre clearly, setting out the criteria for any eco range and not using nature imagery that suggests a product is greener than it is. Those standards are a sensible benchmark for any label making sustainability claims.
For beauty, the ASA has advised brands and influencers to avoid filters on images promoting beauty products where the filter could exaggerate what the product can do. Our art direction and retouching briefs take that into account from the start.
Gifting and creator partnerships are central to many launches, so disclosure belongs in the campaign plan. The ASA and CAP influencer guide recommends a clear label such as "Ad" placed upfront, and makes the brand responsible alongside the creator when a post fails to say it is advertising.
How style-led brands get found
Fashion and beauty searches are often specific and ready to buy: "petite linen trousers", "fragrance-free moisturiser for sensitive skin", "brow lamination near me". Well-structured collection pages, buying guides and product data let a smaller brand compete on those terms. For salons and clinics, local SEO and a complete Google Business Profile matter just as much.
How a project with The Think runs
We begin with discovery: your customer, your references, your competitors and your launch calendar. Strategy defines the positioning and voice, then we move into identity, art direction and the website, designed together so the campaign and the store feel like one brand. We build, test on mobile first and hand over a site your team can update.
We plan backwards from your launch or drop date, and a focused identity or store usually takes 4 to 8 weeks. Identity projects begin at £4,000 and websites at £7,500. The quote is fixed, so a late change of mood board does not become a surprise invoice.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do you work with fashion and beauty start-ups?
Yes, from new labels and indie beauty brands to established names ready for a refresh.
Can you build a Shopify store with a lookbook feel?
Yes. We design editorial, image-led stores that are still fast and easy to shop.
Do you handle photography and art direction?
We lead art direction and work with photographers and stylists to bring the brand to life.
How do you handle sustainability claims and beauty imagery?
If you make green claims, the commitments the CMA secured from ASOS, Boohoo and George at Asda in 2024, such as showing recycled or organic fibre percentages clearly, are a sensible benchmark. For beauty, the ASA has advised against filters that could exaggerate what a product can do, so our retouching briefs take that into account from the start.
How do smaller labels get found in search?
Fashion and beauty searches are often specific and ready to buy, such as petite linen trousers or fragrance-free moisturiser for sensitive skin. Well-structured collection pages, buying guides and product data let a smaller brand compete, and salons and clinics also need local SEO and a complete Google Business Profile.
How long does it take and what does it cost?
We plan backwards from your launch or drop date, and a focused identity or store usually takes 4 to 8 weeks. Identity projects start from £4,000 and websites from £7,500, with a fixed quote agreed before work starts.
